Building Smart International and net-UBIEP project - Bologna (Italy)

On 21 and 22 November 2019, Digital & BIM Italy will be held at the Bologna Exhibition Center, an opportunity for operators in the construction sector to take stock and discover the latest news on innovation and digitalisation of the built environment.

There will be training and information meetings on the application of the BIM methodology to increase the energy performance of buildings. To achieve this goal it is important that all professionals and technicians working in the building supply chain must be aware of their role.

It will be an opportunity to present sector operators and stakeholders with the important result achieved by the Net-Ubiep project partners with the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding with BuildingSMART International for the recognition of BSI individual qualification.

Signed Memorandum of Understanding between BsI - Net Ubiep

In the end of the net-UBIEP project an important result was achieved, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Building Smart International and the net-UBIEP project which establishes the international recognition of the qualification identified by the working group within the partnership. The qualification developed by net-UBIEP is proposed by buildingSMART International as a BIM qualification and energy performance of buildings, so that all the countries of the world will be able to proposed it through their own national chapters.

The news was given during the International Standards Summit, Beijing 28-31 october 2019.

Brussels project meeting 21-22 october

The project meeting was held in Brussels ENEA's offices, whit the participation at works of the European Officer, as well as the various partners represented by the Consortium Countries that introduced the capitalization strategies to exploit the results produced into the Net Ubiep project with consequent effects in its own country in terms of greater diffusion of the BIM culture and its introduction into the construction process in order to guarantee a better energy performance of the buildings.

EU Sustainable energy week 18-20 june Brussels

EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW), the annual flagship event organised by the European Commission, brings together public authorities, private companies, NGOs and consumers to promote initiatives to save energy and move towards renewables for clean, secure and efficient power. In 2019, activities are focused around the theme ‘Shaping Europe’s Energy Future’. Now in its 14th year, EUSEW is bigger and livelier than ever with over 90 policy sessions, more than 4,000 registered participants, 380 speakers and 100+ unique networking opportunities.

The Net-Ubiep project participates "EU Sustainable energy week" with some of its partners, in progress in Brussels from 18 to 20 June.

BIMalliance - The Alliance of BIMcert, BIMplement, Net-UBIEP and BIMEET

The four BIM projects BIMcert, BIMplement, Net-UBIEP and BIMEET are collaborating under the title BIMalliance to explore areas of mutual opportunity and to minimise the energy footprint in construction.

Information materials for technicians

The deliverable on information materials for technicians has been published. The use of BIM to improve the energy performance of buildings is described for each phase of the building life from the preliminary design till the construction, management and use.

The technicians will learn how important is their role during the installations to complete the BIM model "as it is" for operational & maintenance of the buildings.

They will also learn the importance of the information provided during the installation, to maintain  the energy performance of the building during its usage.

The document can be dowloaded from this link.

Published information materials for owners

The deliverable on information materials for owners and tenants has been published. The use of BIM to improve the energy performance of buildings is described for each phase of the building life from the preliminary design till the construction, management and use.

The owners and tenants will understand why it is so important to define the requirements for the management & maintenance  since the conceptual design. They will also learn the importance of a good building information management (BIM) for improving the energy performance of the building during the usage.

The document can be dowloaded from this link.

Published the information materials for Professionals

The deliverable on information materials for professionals has been published. The use of BIM to improve the energy performance of buildings is described for each phase of the building life from the preliminary design till the construction, management and use.

The professionals will find basic information on BIM and the description of the main competences necessary to manage the BIM model for improving the energy performance of the building in any phase, from the conceptual design till the end of the life cycle of the building.

The document can be dowloaded from this link.

Published information materials for Public Administration

The deliverable on information materials for public administration has been published. The use of BIM to improve the energy performance of buildings is described for each phase of the building life from the preliminary design till the construction, management and use.

The public administration officers will find basic information on BIM and main competences necessary to manage the authorization process in the correct way.

The document can be dowloaded from this link.

Published the map of competences for BIM and energy performance

The competences’ map that workers, professionals and public administrations must possess to obtain better results using BIM in all phases of a building's life cycle is ready. The map is the result of a work of coordination with other European projects that have developed, in recent years, the mapping of competences for improving the energy performance of buildings. Within the net-UBIEP project, these competences were connected to the BIM competences.

Those interested, can view the table of competences at this link.
