Use of building information technology includes the implementation of new opportunities to improve the quality of construction projects and such opportunities are used for reaching different objectives depending on the project.
RKAS's design contracts require reliance on the COBIM instruction which is a translation of the COBIM instruction published in Finland in 2012 and the making of which was supported by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications, Tallinn University of Technology, Riigi Kinnisvara AS and ET-INFOkeskuse AS.
In order to enable digital transformation, an increase in efficiency, more functional buildings with lower life cycle costs and better use of taxpayers' money in the construction sector, it has become general practice in RKAS to use BIM technology in the procurement of construction projects.

The project
The Digital Construction Cluster aims to shift paradigms inside the construction sector with information and communication technologies, whole placing significant emphasis on altering business customs and models. This is accompanied by creating a construction environment, where collaboration between various parties is valued highly and the construction is observed during the whole life-cycle from idea inception to utilization.

A new model of BIM practical trainings for professionals has been developed, combining theoretical part with application examples (case studies) and practical tasks. Real BIM project management web platform BIMSync (CDE) has been used as a platform for communication between trainers and participants of trainings. Training platform BIMSync used real BIM model files and related information. The illustration presented below depicts main facts about seminars and trainings conducted in Lithuania, as well the partners who provided the real cases for seminars and trainings. The progress, training participants made during the courses, their satisfaction with the courses, and the efficiency of the courses were measured using the post-training survey. To complete the questionnaires, tasks were created through the CDE environment in BIMSync platform. This resulted in a high percentage of responses (Pre- 95%, Post -75%).

In NetUBIEP we developed a set of learning materials which explains and describes the relation between BIM and NZEB construction. Because the pending regulation NTA 8800 in the Netherlands (not yet approved by the government) which describes the conditions for NZEB buildings, there is interest by the educators for the learning materials. However, the NTA 8800 is not yet finished, so the educators are a bit cautious. The discussions, test training with these educators made it possible to build a network of educators. To strengthen each other and to address a broad approach, each educator add their own flavour to the learning material.
The NetUBIEP project made it possible to build a network of educators who will make use of the learning materials. The educators will add their own "flavour" to the learning materials to present a unique set of learning materials.

The digitization of heritage is not a fashion and is not just for designers, it is a new tool for the management and maintenance of buildings, followed by designers prepared and attentive to the requirements of owners, administrators and tenants.
The uses that can be made of a well-made BIM model are infinite, just as the possibilities that technology offers us today are endless. During the day we will show those of greatest interest to condominium administrators to reduce management costs by increasing the comfort of homes. In concrete use cases we will show the possibility of connecting the real building to its virtual model through integrations that can be easily managed by tablets and mobile phones.
The digitization of heritage is a new tool for the management and maintenance of buildings, followed by designers prepared and attentive to the requirements of owners, administrators and tenants.
Applying the BIM methodology we note how the volume of information, with the passing of the phases, of the time of operation and of the management of the building, increases more and more and according to a trend in constant growth, throughout the life cycle.
